Chris is a passionate educator always searching for ways to develop and refine his pedagogical methods. Capable of teaching classical, jazz and popular music as well as preparing students for AMEB (Australian Music Examination Board), Trinity and HSC (Higher School Certificate) examinations. Chris believes that every student is unique striving to create a personalised program assisting students of all ages to reach their full potential.
Chris currently holds a full time position in the Royal Australian Navy Band. He is a highly regarded educator having previously taught at Sydney’s elite private schools including Wenona Independent School, Roseville College and Knox Grammar Preparatory School. Kali Gillen
Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance)
With over 10 years experience in teaching saxophone to students of all ages, Kali is always looking for new and improved ways to teach music catered best to each individual.
Kali is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a major in Jazz Performance, and plays in a multitude of professional contexts, from national and international touring with Aussie greats like the Hilltop Hoods, Lime Cordiale and the Hot Potato band to local jazz scene gigs with her trio.
With a flair for finding each student's strengths and weaknesses, Kali likes to bring in a broad spectrum of repertoire to allow each person to learn about music.
Skye Fyfe
Bachelor of Music (Performance)
Skye is in her final year of a Bachelor of Music (Performance), specialising in classical saxophone at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. A versatile and accomplished saxophonist, she has performed widely across a range of ensembles, including chamber groups, big bands and wind ensembles. Her performance experience also includes participation in international tours around Europe, Japan and Korea with the Sydney Conservatorium Saxophone Orchestra and Wind Symphony.
In addition to her performance work, Skye is a dedicated and passionate music educator with over six years of experience teaching saxophone and clarinet in both private and school settings. She has successfully guided students through AMEB preparation and takes pride in fostering both technical skill and a deep appreciation for music in each of her students.
